How we vet a contractor โ€” ourselves included

This is the standard we hold every Kennesaw Pro Roofing project to, and the standard we measure other bidders against in our free quote reviews.

Standard summary

A short version of how the methodology works, what we measure, and what we refuse to relax โ€” even on rush jobs.

1

Active Georgia license

Verified through the Georgia Construction Industry Licensing Board before any bid lands.

2

Insurance on file

$2M general liability plus workers compensation. COIs pulled, not promised.

3

Local references

Five completed jobs in Cobb County from the last 24 months, with permission to contact.

4

Documented warranty

Both manufacturer and labor warranty in writing, registered, and transferable.

5

Permits pulled

Every job pulls its own permit. Inspections scheduled. COs uploaded to your file.

6

Sponsor disclosed

Our editorial independence is real โ€” sponsor relationship is named and the boundary is on the page.

How we work day-to-day

The standard is what we promise. What happens on a Tuesday at 11am is what actually matters. Here is the day-of flow we run for every install:

  1. Foreman arrives 7:30am. Tarps and ground protection laid before tear-off begins.
  2. Materials delivered on a single roll-off. Crew labels staging zones for quick cleanup.
  3. Tear-off down to decking. Photos of every decking sheet, before and after any replacement.
  4. Underlayment + ice and water installed. Synthetic underlayment on the field; peel-and-stick in valleys and at the eaves.
  5. Flashing installed at every wall, chimney, and penetration โ€” not reused unless the existing flashing is reusable (rarely).
  6. Shingles installed per manufacturer pattern. Starter strip + field + hip + ridge.
  7. End-of-day photo set uploaded to your project folder.
  8. Final day: magnetic sweep of the yard, gutter cleanup, debris hauled off same day.
  9. Final walkthrough with the homeowner. Warranty package handed over in writing.

What we will not do

No layovers on residential

Void manufacturer warranties, do not let us see framing.

Why we refuse โ†’

No subcontracted crews

Every roof is built by W-2 Kennesaw Pro Roofing employees.

Crew standards โ†’

No unbidded change orders

Every change crosses your desk in writing before work starts.

Change-order policy โ†’

No insurance-pressure jobs

If a repair makes more sense than a claim, we will say so.

Editorial standard โ†’

Standard in writing โ€” that is our pitch.

If you want to compare our standard against any other bid, our quote review is free. Send what you have, we will write it up.
